Ice Push Track – Bobsled, Skeleton and Luge
With all of the focus that goes into the winter Olympics once every four years, often forgotten are the other three. Day in and day out, Athletes train just for the opportunity to become an Olympian able to represent America at the Winter Games. This dedication requires the highest level of training. For years, the US Bobsled and Skeleton teams have competed on the world stage without the benefit of an adequate training facility. Currently, there are no indoor ice push training facilites located anywhere in the US. The only dedicated training facility is located in Calgary, Canada. Alpine Village is the perfect opportunity to get the sports of Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton in front of the general public while giving our Athletes a competitive edge. The vision is to create a program that works within the facility to not only increase the visibility of the sports but to provide a substantial additional revenue source. With support from the US Bodsled and Skeleton Federation, Alpine Village will offer:
Year-round training for top Athletes
Training packages for International Teams (requiring local hotel accomodations)
High School developmental programs (both after school and during summer breaks)
International Push Start Championships
Host USBSF sponsor events
The USBSF has partnered with Snow Sport Entertainment, LTD to help design the ice push training track so as to have the most modern training facility attracting Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton Athletes from around the world.
The USBSF has endorsed the concept intending to make its home in the first city to commence development.
